Gordon Brothers hosted an exclusive evening at trend-setting retailer Opening Ceremony LA. The event drew an eclectic mix of professionals from fashion, finance, retail, and licensing. Ramez Toubassy, who leads Gordon Brothers' brands practice, discussed the art and science of brand building, drawing upon his 20 years’ experience investing in and growing consumer brands around the world. Opening Ceremony’s Mia Soucy, Head of Retail, and Kevin Tilton, Head of Buying, Planning and Collaborations, joined the conversation, offering a behind-the-scenes view into the retailer’s unique approach to cultivating and commercializing brands over the past 14 years. Guests ended the evening with a private shopping experience of Opening Ceremony’s distinctive collection of iconic and emerging homegrown designers.

Gordon Brothers has had a long history valuing and investing in brands, along with consultation designed to strengthen brands and help companies realize the potential of these valuable assets. The business was reinvigorated by the addition of Ramez and his team of creative and licensing experts, Ann Gordon and Jaime Mann.
