Gordon Brothers has a long-standing commitment to the community – something that is core to each of our 300 employees located around the world. We recently completed our 10th annual Global Give Back day where all of our 25 offices volunteer for a day. In Boston, nearly 80 employees spent a day with one of two worthy local nonprofits. One group spent the day at the 104 year-old Franklin Park Zoo, located on a 72-acre site in Boston’s historic Franklin Park, where they cleared brush and debris from an old man-made lake, making way for a new exhibit that operated this fall. The zoo hosts 600,000 visitors each year and is home to over 130 different species of animals. Another team prepared meals at the Pine Street Inn, which has provided a comprehensive range of critical needs services to more than 1,600 homeless men and women a day since 1969. The group participated in a “Chop-a-Thon,” preparing over 850 pounds of vegetables. We also continue to support Pine Street Inn through ongoing donations of clothing and other items. Global Give Back Day 2016 was a huge success thanks to our local planning teams and the enthusiastic participation of Gordon Brothers’ employees and partner organizations around the world.
